Nokia has successfully captured the mid-luxury phone segment with its 8000-series lineup, starting with the introduction of the Nokia 8800 in April 2005. Featuring the same slide-to-open mechanism as found on the original Nokia 8800, the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte takes the 8800 Arte series one step further by incorporating new materials that set it apart from its predecessors. Titanium, carbon fiber, and stainless steel - yours for a list price of €1,100.

dosh wallets
These wallets made by dosh are sweet. Made from flexible polymers, the wallets come in three styles and an assortment of colors as shown above. I wouldn't mind one in style 002.

Upcoming: TU Football vs. University of Central Florida
In anticipation of the TU football game versus UCF on Sunday, October 26, I read an article on CBS Sports that discusses what to expect. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane is now ranked 22nd in the nation per the Associated Press Poll and 19th in the USA Today / Coaches Poll (read). Exciting, especially given that the team hasn't been nationally ranked since 1991.
I'm looking forward to the game. UCF defeated TU twice last season, making this a unique hurdle on the path to 8-0. In other news, I got in touch with the school photographer last night. Look for much better shots after the game.

TU Homecoming
The University of Tulsa will be playing Rice University on Saturday. I'm looking forward to the game - I've got a press pass waiting for me on game day. This time, I will bring along my telephoto lens only to see how well that suits my sports photography needs.
Tonight's celebrations were marked by the lighting of a bonfire on the large quad ("The U") overlooked by McFarlin Library.
Pictures to come.

Sketch by Myles
f
I met Myles this afternoon. I had taken a break to look for a book that had been recommended to me, and end up finding an interesting magazine along the way. Myles was sketching while I flipped through the magazine. He has a bold drawing style, and plenty of plans to develop his current ideas further.
